Chalfont were engaged to help a large government client develop new technical solutions using Platform as a Service (PaaS) assets within the Azure cloud environment.
Chalfont were engaged to lead a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to adopt agile working practices, build products iteratively, reduce failure to existing services, and to improve the user experience. Chalfont appointed consultants into an existing MDT, adding disciplines in Business Analysis, Testing, and appointing a Scrum Master to assist the team in managing and refining their processes and uplift capability within the existing team.
Chalfont provided expertise in agile practices and user centred design to engage users to understand their needs and incorporate solutions within an existing future state architecture as part of the client’s transformation program. Through ongoing engagement with end users, our consultant helped the team to develop an understanding of their problems and needs and prototype various solutions to help guide the Institute in pushing into an alpha phase of product development.
Chalfont established good scrum inspect and adapt loops and a program backlog, enabled the agile team to iterate and test the hypotheses with end users.
User research insights were gained by through paper prototyping and wire-framing, group workshops and one on one interviews, planning, designing. User research was conducted and analysed to develop new approaches to the product and generate ideas for eliciting and managing requirements.
Our consultant ensured solutions considered end user experiences with a focus on usability and designing iteratively to meet changing user needs, working with stakeholders to adopt an iterative approach to prepare user stories; building a structured backlog; story mapping; user acceptance criteria; developing test cases and detailed process maps.
